He'll Do It Again.

Sometimes we may forget that we have someone to run to, at any hour of the day.
We may feel like God has forgotten that we're facing a tough situation, but has He really?
NO.
My God doesn't forget about me, or you for that matter.
Look at these lyrics, and ALWAYS remember that you may not know how, you may not know when, but He can do it again.

(:

VERSE 1
You may be down and feel like God
Has somehow forgotten
That you are faced with circumstances
You can't get through
But now it seems that there's no way out
And you're going under
God's proven time and time again
He'll take care of you

CHORUS
And He'll do it again
He'll do it again
If you'll just take a look
At where you are now
And where you've been
Well hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again

VERSE 2
God knows the things you're going through
And He knows how you're hurting
You see he knows just how your heart
Has been broken in two
But He's the God of the stars, of the sun and the sea
And He is your Father
You see He can calm the storm
And He'll find some way to fix it for you

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Oh He's still God and He will not fail you
Oh He's still God and He will not change
Know, Know that He's God and He's fighting for you
Yes, just like Moses, just like Daniel,
And just like Shadrach and Meshach, Abednego

CHORUS

TAG
You may not know how
And you may not know when
You may not know how
You may not know when
But I know that He'll do it again
He'll do it again, again.

TIME FOR PRAYER!

Aunt Charlotte texted me today and asked if I could come to Bible study after class if they waited on me, and OF COURSE, I did not object. (:

I don't get out of classes until 7 at night, so I've been having to miss out. :(
But thank the Lord! He works things about amazingly. (:
Now, we're going to start at 7 on Thursday nights so that we can all come!

Tonight, we read about prayer.
Christians that commit to doing whatever it takes to have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ are effective.
Therefore, we have purposed to journal.
We each received prayer journals, and starting tonight, we will write about the events of YESTERDAY.
The point of this journaling is to reflect on how we spend our time, and how much time we devote to God.

Each journal entry is limited to one page, so that we don't spend too much time listing things that are irrelevant. We can talk about an appointment we had, people we interacted with, thoughts//feelings, what we read in the Bible, church service..anything we want!

Then, on the back of that page is our prayer list.

Finally, we find a QUIET, PRIVATE place to pray.
The first day starts with 15 minutes.
Then add 5 mins each day, until you build up to an hour.

This is our goal, and the PURPOSE OF THIS NOTE is to invite any an all who would like to truly dedicate more time in their lives to prayer.
We live in a fast paced world, but we must not ever be TOO BUSY TO FIND TIME FOR PRAYER.

(:

Through the Fire

I've been thinking about what to post on here more often, other than just pictures from our events at church, and this song popped into my mind.

We all face hard times and get discouraged, but it's a great help to remember that our God will ALWAYS bring us through the fire.

--

So many times i've questioned certain circumstances
Or things I could not understand
Many times in trials, weakness blurs my vision
And my frustration gets so out of hand
Its then I am reminded I've never been forsaken
I've never had to stand the test alone
As I look at all the victories
The spirit rises up in me
And its through the fire my weakness is made strong

Chorus:
He never promised that the cross would not get heavy
And the hill would not be hard to climb
He never offered our victories without fighting
But He said help would always come in time
Just remember when your standing in the valley of decision
And the adversary says give in
Just hold on, our Lord will show up
And He will take you through the fire again

Bridge:
I know within myself that I would surely perish
But if I trust thehand of God, He'll shield the flames again, again

Fall Festival- 10/31/09

This is a story I used in the devotion while talking about "Teamwork and Encouragement."

Pictures are coming soon!! (:

A man was lost while driving through the country. As he tried to reach for the map, he accidentally drove off the road into a ditch. Though he wasn’t injured, his car was stuck deep in the mud. So the man walked to a nearby farm to ask for help.
"Warwick can get you out of that ditch," said the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in a field. The man looked at the decrepit old mule and looked at the farmer who just stood there repeating, "Yep, old Warwick can do the job." The man figured he had nothing to lose. The two men and the mule made their way back to the ditch. The farmer hitched the mule to the car. With a snap of the reins he shouted:
"Pull, Fred! Pull, Jack! Pull, Ted! Pull, Warwick!"
And the mule pulled that car right out of the ditch.
The man was amazed. He thanked the farmer, patted the mule, and asked, "Why did you call out all of those names before you called Warwick?"
The farmer grinned and said, "Old Warwick is just about blind. As long as he believes he’s part of a team, he doesn’t mind pulling."
